About me/my organization

My name is Veronica and I am passionate about helping out the youth in the community whether it's through mentoring, counseling, advocacy, or just being a person to listen.  We all know the pressures a teenager can face, but nowadays, the problems and issues seem tougher for teens to handle. I believe I can make a difference for these teens who are struggling. I'm in the process of receiving my Bachelors degree in Communication Theory and Himan Services. My projected graduation date is this coming Spring. I have completed all Major and Minor courses and only have two General Studies credits to graduate. I am taking courses this semester to finish.  My Major is listed as Communication Theory in which can be utilized in relationship studies, educational consulting ,social services, and social science research. I fell in love with the idea of helping at-risk youth as well as at-risk families after I had already completed half of my required major credits due to shadowing a Victim's Advocate. So, I decided to add a Minor Studies program of Human Services to my coursework. Within these courses, I have learned the functions of youth, addiction, therapy, counseling, lmarital/family, and behavioral studies. I have excelled in these courses and have received many offers for recommendations from professors.I believe that these two concentrations (as well as my academic achievements in both) show that I am a great candidate for any position with youth services or advocacy. I believe that my personal drive and sincere desire for a position in assisting the youth of our community can serve as a great example of how hard I am willing to work and just how dedicated I am to being considered for any position.
Throughout my different positions, I have quickly proven myself to be an excellent dependable employee and person.  In every position, I have had the opportunity to be quickly promoted due to my attitude as well as my work ethic and organizational skills. I enjoy working with others and learning from every experience that comes my way. I believe I would excel in this company because of all of my skills as well as my ability to conquer all challenges. My friends and family often turn to me when they need help or guidance with their child or teenager. Right now, I'm acting as a mentor to my dear friend's teenage daughter who has been struggling with her emotions and with her life as an adolescent. I'm her friend, confidant, and mentor and I have helped her mother to start moving into that role as well.
I strive to be a part of a company that’s main focus is helping others. I want to be employed with a job that indulges those needs whether it is through a foundation, a charity, media, or any other company that shares the same focus. My career objective is to show that not only can I move up in any company in any position with the help of my positive attitude, strong ambition, responsible mannerisms, and the skills I have and will acquire, but I want to be a positive influence in the lives of those in the community.
